Creek Golf Course is the newest of the three courses operated
by the County of San Luis Obispo.
Strung "links-like" on El Chorro Regional Park
land just east of Highway 1 between San Luis Obispo and
Morro
Bay, it boasts some incredible elevation changes, forced
carries over water and rocky arroyos. The bentgrass
greens will put the steadiest stroke to the test. Add tricky
sea breezes whipping around nearby Hollister Peak
and suddenly you've got a 6,548-yard course to be reckoned
with.
Designed by architect, John Harbottle (Stevinson
Ranch, Genoa Lakes), Dairy Creek offers a true test of golf,
without disturbing the natural habitats and beauty of the
land.
Driving just 5.5 miles west of San Luis Obispo, Dairy Creek
is defined by Pennington Creek along the front-nine and the
actual Dairy Creek that meanders through the back-nine. Built
along rolling hills, the par 71 course rises and falls 300
feet twice, offering enchanting views of the surrounding El
Chorro valley. But you better pay attention to your game,
lest you find yourself in one of the many water hazards or
bunkers that define this, one of the most challenging courses
in the area.
DIRECTIONS:
Highway 101 to the Morro Bay Highway 1 exit. Head west towards
Morro Bay along Highway 1 for 5.5 miles to El Chorro Regional
Park. Turn right at the stoplight and enter El Chorro Regional
Park. The entrance to Dairy Creek Golf Course will be on the
left

Reservations are accepted one week in advance by telephone
and 30 days in advance online. Phone (805) 782-8060
and ask to book a tee time at Dairy Creek Golf Course. Groups
of 16 or more are accepted for tournament bookings. Requests
may be made in writing or faxed beginning October 1, for the
following year:

THE CENTRAL COAST GOLF ACADEMY:
Dairy Creek just north of San Luis Obispo on Highway 1, is
home to the Central Coast Golf Academy. The Academy
is the finest teaching facility on the central coast. The
goal of the academy is to enrich the patrons it serves by
honing
the skills of experienced players and introducing the “Game
of a Lifetime” to new players. The academy strives to
be both informative and affordable with an emphasis on creating
an enjoyable experience for those who participate. The academy

RESTAURANT:
Located at the Dairy Creek Golf Course Club House, Fairways
restaurant specializes in serving culinary favorites with
a Mediterranean flair. Friendly owner/manager Ryan Comerford
has produced a menu emphasizing locally produced fresh meats
and produce complimented by wines and beers from around the
central coast. Fairways offers exciting lunches and dinners
for 2 or 200. Private seminar and group meeting facilities
are also available.
